Black Walnut Gives Back to the City of Houston Youth Summer Program

July 20, 2018

Earlier this week, our catering team worked with the City of Houston – Juvenile Case Manager Program and delivered donated boxed lunches to its Youth Summer Program.

The JCM Program works with 7th-10th graders throughout the school year to help them improve their attendance. During the summer, they keep the motivation going through their Youth Summer Program – this week’s activity included a trip to Miller Outdoor Theater in Hermann Park! The students enjoyed their picnic-style lunch under the shade and getting a taste of our delicious selection of sandwiches and cookies.

We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. If you’d like to learn more about how we can support your organization, please contact us here.

About the City of Houston – Juvenile Case Manager Program
The program reduces instances of truancy at target campuses and improves attendance through early identification, prevention and intervention. The program strives to decrease juvenile referrals to municipal courts; and works in partnership with HISD, HISD PD, Spring Branch ISD, SBISD PD and community stakeholders.
