Summer is sandwich season at Black Walnut Cafe!
We’ve created these three new sandwiches and brought back two familiar favorites that are packed with a delicious combination of ingredients from the bread to the spreads and everything in between! Available for a limited time only, July 2 through August 14!
GRILLED CHEESE SMASH BURGER
This sandwich and burger hybrid is the best of both worlds. We take a juicy beef patty and smash it between not one, but TWO grilled cheese sandwiches made from American cheese and challah bread. It’s toasty, cheesy and all around tasty!
Choosing the right bread for a sandwich is key. Have you heard of la-chac-la bread? It’s Italian flat bread that’s garlicky and cheesy with aromatic herbs and spices. We layer sliced turkey, salami, ham, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes, provolone and our tomato savory dressing between two slices of it for a mouthful of flavor in every bite. This sandwich also pays homage to one of the original owner’s favorite restaurants!
Mo’ Bacon, No Problems! We’ve partnered with Jones Dairy Farm to bring you this elevated B.L.T. using 28-day dry aged, half-inch thick maple bacon. Jones Dairy Farm’s bacon is naturally smoked in their old fashioned smokehouse, using real wood chips for up to 10 hours. The dry aging process takes up to three weeks, creating a better-tasting and less salty bacon flavor. We round out this sandwich with arugula, tomatoes, pesto mayo and serve it between wheatberry toast.
TERIYAKI SALMON BURGER
Tired of the same old burger? Wake up your taste buds with this one! Sitting on top of the teriyaki salmon patty is creamy teriyaki aioli and a crunchy Asian slaw, all served between a brioche bun. It’s a fresh, vibrantly flavored burger to switch up your lunch and dinner routine!
This Mediterranean-inspired burger features rich flavors from our lamb patty topped with arugula, pesto mayo and a smooth, sun-dried tomato goat cheese spread on a wheat bun. It’s an appetizing alternative to the traditional burger that you’ll crave throughout the summer!
Keep your thirst quenched with these beer-inspired shandys this summer! Citrusy, zesty and oh-so-refreshing.
