Black Walnut proudly took part in the annual Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event, hosted just steps away at The Woodlands Township on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Focused on hurricane readiness, emergency response planning, and family safety, the event welcomed hundreds of local residents and families from The Woodlands and surrounding areas, as well as many community partners.
As a proud member of The Woodlands since 2002, Black Walnut supported the event by providing complimentary breakfast catering for participating agencies and exhibitors—helping kick off the morning with chef-prepared selections. We also offered free kids’ gelato to attendees, a refreshing treat that quickly became a favorite on the warm spring morning.
Throughout the event, guests explored a range of interactive demonstrations and expert-led sessions covering topics such as storm preparedness, legal planning, insurance policies, and more. A wide array of search and rescue, disaster recovery, firefighting, and mobile command equipment was also on display, provided by both government and private organizations—including Montgomery County Commissioner Precinct 3, which serves The Woodlands area.
It was a day filled with community connection, hands-on learning, and a shared commitment to safety. The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preparation—especially as hurricane season approaches.
