Between Zoom meetings and virtual classrooms, working from home or being an essential worker, we think it’s fair to say 2020 has led us to drink a lot more coffee than usual. As National Coffee Day approaches on Sept. 29, we’re giving guests the chance to win FREE COFFEE FOR A YEAR to help make that much needed cup of Joe even better.
Here’s how to enter:

- Snap and share a photo of your favorite coffee drink from Black Walnut
- Tag us @blackwalnutcafe and use the hashtag #JoeForAYear
We’re accepting entries beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16 through Tuesday, Sept. 29. Any coffee drink from Black Walnut is valid! Whether you enjoy a cup when you dine in or grab a coffee to-go, you can share your photo to enter. And you can even enter the same photo up to three times by tagging us across all our social channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We’ll randomly select several winners and announce them on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Each winner will receive a special customized card they can use to receive our signature French roast coffee, decaf coffee and any of our featured Coffee of the Month coffees for free between November 2020 through November 2021. Winners will also receive a personalized coffee tumbler they can use on the go!
Our rulebook:
No purchase necessary. Must be 18 years or older at time of entry. Must be following us on the channel you tag us in or share your photo on. (E.g. If you share your photo and tag us on Instagram, you must be also following us on Instagram.). The same photo can be shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram once and will count as three separate entries. Limit one entry per photo on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Entries are valid beginning 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16 through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Please note your social media privacy settings may impact our ability to see photos you share if you do not tag us at @blackwalnutcafe and if we do not confirm your submission, please send it to us directly through Facebook Messenger, or direct messages on Instagram and Twitter. If you would like to participate but do not drink coffee, you may submit another photo of a Black Walnut item from our menu, but still need to tag us and use the hashtag #JoeForAYear. Black Walnut partners and 2018-2019 winners are not eligible to win.
Claiming the prize:
Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Wednesday, Sept. 30th on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels. Winners must provide their name and mailing address by Wednesday, Oct. 7 to claim the prize. Winners will receive a special customized card to bring in for free coffee along with a personalized tumbler. Nontransferable.
