Join us at Black Walnut Cafe in Vintage Park to meet award-winning author, Lorrie Parise, on Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 6-9p.m.!
Parise will be signing copies of her book, “Biography of an Everyday Couple.” This nonfiction is an inspirational love story about Alice and Fidel Flores – an everyday couple who led extraordinary lives – and most importantly, Parise’s parents.

About Lorrie Parise:
Native Texan, Lorrie Parise, holds a MA degree in English – Communications from St. Mary’s University and a BA degree in Communication Studies from the University of St. Thomas. She is employed in the fields of public relations, marketing and community relations. She enjoys performing folk guitar music as a hobby. Most importantly, she is the daughter of Fidel and Alice Flores.

The romance tells a tale of love at first sight for the couple who met at an informal engagement party for Fidel. Yes, he was engaged to someone else! Like Alice and Fidel, there are so many people who believe they only lead ordinary, everyday lives and believe they don’t really make a difference. They do. They are extraordinary people. They just may not realize it.
